Standard keys can be lost or stolen and easily used by unauthorized persons. Access control is basically an electronic key system but with several important differences: first, keys are replaced by a card or fob that has an imbedded code which is read and recognized when used and each card can be individually deactivated if lost or stolen; second, each entry or exit is automatically recorded and the cards can be tracked and monitored; third, access can be limited to time, duration and location. There are basic systems for small business, more robust systems for larger businesses, and sophisticated systems that can track and report on thousands of cards at multiple locations and can be integrated into very large security systems.
Secure Tech has worked with all types of Access Control systems and we can design, install and maintain these systems. Our experience includes simple residential systems that use a keypad to larger systems with many readers, strikes and users.
